Artist’s Statement
I strive with my images to achieve a peaceful intimacy with the subject matter and the viewer. I photograph people, nude and clothed, and the land and landscape in color and in black and white. The photographs, while differing in subject and technique, reflect my need for close contact with beauty.
There are many ways of viewing our world. I believe you see what you look for. I look for beauty, and find it everywhere.
I started my professional life as a lawyer. After practicing many years, I discovered I needed to improve my ability to express my own feelings, and photography helped me do that. I hope that shows in my images.
